Thank you!!! I am often conflicted when turning a story into a script. Being more of a poetic writer, trying to “plot out” a script in hard and fast lines can be difficult. Sharing your wisdom opened my mind to a seamless transition without losing the story!

I consider story to be what exists between plot/action points. I wish I could take credit for that point, but I can’t - I read it somewhere. The plot exists solely to pressure the characters into making decisions, and thereby reveal who they really are, and where emotionally they are going. That’s its purpose, plain and simple. Great subject, Elliot, of which we all should take note, so thanks :)
